Gem State Staffing is now accepting applications for Production Operator positions at a manufacturing facility in Jerome, Idaho. These are long-term, temp-to-hire jobs with immediate start dates. Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate extrusion lines for manufacturing.

Handle and move heavy beams (up to 250 lbs) using appropriate safety procedures.

Operate twisting machines and thread materials through eyelets, wheels, and machine components.

Mount, doff, weigh, label, and palletize spools weighing 15–50 lbs.

Load shrink wrap rolls onto twisting machines (up to 50 lbs).

Clean production areas, including under and between machines.

Move scrap materials using balers and forklifts (if certified).

Perform equipment checks and notify supervisors of any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Follow all production, safety, and quality control procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

Qualifications

Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts in a production setting.

Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs unassisted.

Comfortable working in conditions that include heat, noise, dust, oil, and moving equipment.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, push, and pull regularly.

Must follow all safety regulations and PPE protocols.

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
