Gem State Staffing is hiring for the 2025 Corn Harvest Season, starting September 15! We’re looking for motivated seasonal Scalehouse Operaotr agriculture job across Southern Idaho. This is a great opportunity to earn steady weekly pay while working outdoors in a team-focused environment.
Scale House Operator (1 opening)
-Hand out sample buckets to drivers
-Must be detail-oriented, clean, and have good handwriting
-Female candidates encouraged to apply
-Must be 16+ years old
Work Environment:
-Daily meet-up at the shop; then depart to field locations
-Bring lunch, snacks, and LOTS of water – no time to leave fields
-No water refill stations on site
-Portable restroom available in the field
Qualifications
-Clean driving record: No DUIs, DWOPs, or no-insurance violations
-In-person interview required: Driver details must be submitted in advance
-Eligible to work in the U.S.: No warrants, probation, or court-required classes
-Language: Spanish-speaking welcome (must understand instructions)
-Transportation: Reliable transportation required
-Field Readiness: Must work in dusty, outdoor conditions. Allergies not recommended
-Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation (unless job is within walking distance of our office).
-Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
Work Schedule:
Start Date: September 15th
Duration: ~1 month, with possible extension (silage hauling)
Days: 7 days/week
Hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (can go to 8–9 PM on long days)
Note: No overtime pay due to agricultural exemption
