Job Description
Accurately calculate and mix application rates. Properly understand and interpret fertilizer and pesticide formulas.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations governing pesticide application.
Operate equipment to apply chemical and fertilizer to commercial properties.
Routinely check and maintain equipment and vehicles.
Able to accurately record application details and other records as necessary.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to promote healthy growth of plants.
Monitor and assess plant health, recommending appropriate treatments as necessary.
Keep accurate records of applications and materials used.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations regarding pesticide application.
Assist in other horticultural tasks such as pruning, planting, and irrigation maintenance.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training in horticultural practices and pesticide application techniques.
Qualifications
Current ISDA Professional Applicator's license.
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients in a professional manner.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently with integrity or as part of a team.
Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50-pound bags of fertilizer, load, unload, push, lift, and guide rotary spreader with a total weight of 80-100 pounds and maneuver a 400-foot spray hose.
The ability to follow driving directions and familiarity with assigned service area is a plus.
