Job Description
Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation and reliability of ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, boiler/condensate and water supply systems.
Essential Functions
*Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on plant utility systems; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
*Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
*Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
*Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
*Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
*Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
*Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
*Maintains all maintenance logs on assigned shift
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
*License in HVAC, Water Treatment, Industrial Refrigeration (RETA) or Boiler certification strongly desired
*Process Safety Management (PSM) experience a plus
Experience Required:
Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding, Technical Zeal, Deals with Uncertainty, Power Tools, Job Knowledge, Productivity. Previous experience in a related field is strongly preferred.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Requires skills in welding, electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance & repair of all plant equipment
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements for a manufacturing operation
Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity SAP
Familiarity with GMP’s, SOP, & SAG’s
