Job Description:

Gem State Staffing is now hiring hardworking Manual Laborers for the upcoming Grain Harvest Season. This is a physically demanding, outdoor job on a grain farm. No equipment operation required – this role is focused entirely on physical labor, grain handling, and harvest support tasks.

Ideal for individuals seeking hands-on farm work, reliable seasonal income, and the chance to be part of the agriculture industry during its busiest time.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with manual grain handling and loading
  • Shovel, sweep, and clean around bins, grain piles, and trucks
  • Move tarps, bags, hoses, and other harvest tools
  • Guide grain trucks into position; help with unloading by hand
  • Perform general farm labor, including lifting, stacking, and organizing materials
  • Maintain clean, safe working areas during harvest operations
  • Support farm crew with any additional physical harvest work as needed 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly
  • Able to work long hours outdoors in hot, dusty, or cold conditions
  • Strong work ethic and dependability are a must
  • No prior farm experience needed – training provided
  • Steel-toed boots and weather-appropriate clothing required
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from job site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in farm labor, harvest work, or other manual jobs (construction, landscaping, warehouse)
  • Knowledge of basic safety practices on farms
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts during peak harvest
