Job Description:

Gem State Staffing in Twin Falls is seeking a full-time, temporary-to-permanent Grain Elevator Operator in Buhl and a seasonal position in Bliss and Hansen. This position is responsible for performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform at least six tasks in the operations area contributing to customer service, grain conditioning and general facility upkeep
  • Operate various types of mobile equipment
  • Treat seed
  • Weighing trucks, product sampling and testing
  • Handling/Receiving equipment and monitoring
  • Inspect activities and identify any issues
  • Data entry of delivery details
  • General facility upkeep 

Qualifications:

-Self-motivated, self-directed personality
-Have 1-2 years of on-the-farm or agriculture experience required
-Basic experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. loader, tractor, forklift)
-Be able to pass a math and mechanical test
-Basic comprehension of English, written and verbal
-Ability to work long hours over multiple consecutive days
-Ability to repetitively stand, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods
-Ability to repetitively lift 50+ lbs.
-Possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
-Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
