Job Description

Gem State Staffing is hiring for Estimator for local Steel Fabrication company. Duties include estimating off drawings and renderings of steel fabrication/re-bar projects, preparing bids, communicating with customers and vendors. Will read and interpret all documents associated with preparing a bid package for customers and be involved in the bidding processes from start to finish.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 5 years structural steel estimating experience required.
-Must have strong communication and computer skills.
-Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication is preferred.
-Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
-Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation.
-Experience in reading and interpreting all documents associated with preparing a bid package for customers.
-Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
-Ability to perform basic administrative functions such as filing, faxing, emailing, payment processing etc.
-Manage time appropriately and be detail oriented.
-Ability to troubleshoot issues.
-Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
