Astra Engineering is excited to offer a paid internship opportunity for driven and innovative students looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of industrial automation and electrical engineering. What You'll Do

As an intern at Astra Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to:

Work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects
Contribute to innovative designs, analysis, and solutions in industrial environments
Gain hands-on experience with advanced tools and technologies, including Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA, and Inductive Automation.
Learn the National Electric code and industrial electrical
Learn how to apply your coursework to actual engineering problems, helping to create impactful, sustainable solutions.
What We're Looking For

Currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Innovative mindset with a passion for solving problems creatively.
Strong communication skills to work effectively within a collaborative environment.
Proficiency or familiarity with engineering tools, such as CAD software, is a plus but not required- we'll help you learn!
Eager to learn and ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced, hands-on setting

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a two-year Associates degree or certificate program in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related field.
-Basic knowledge of electrical concepts and/or coursework in relevant subjects (e.g. circuits, instrumentation, PLC programming)
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
-Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
-Basic understanding of industrial controls and automation concepts
-Exposure to PLCs, HMI/SCADA, or industrial systems through coursework, labs, or hands-on projects.
-Awareness of the National Electrical Code or other relevant electrical standards.
-Proven ability to work well in a team setting and take initiative to solve problems.
