Job Description:

Gem State Staffing is accepting applications for a hard-working individual for a full-time seamstress position in Twin Falls.

• Create, alter, and repair clothing, and other items, using needles, thread, measuring tools, scissors, and sewing machines.
• Receive customer garments and inspect them for damage or stains, missing buttons, and other damage before cleaning.
• Operate dry cleaning machinery to clean clothes using appropriate solvents.
• Carefully press and finish garments according to company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring items are returned in pristine condition; handle special cleaning requests for delicate fabrics or spot removal.
• Properly fold or hang cleaned items and attach customer labels.
• Check clothes for stains, tears, missing buttons, and other damage before cleaning.
• Categorize clothing based on fabric type and cleaning requirements.
• Load garments into the appropriate dry cleaning machine, selecting the correct cleaning cycle and solvent.
• Treat stains with specialized cleaning agents before the main cleaning process.
• Use pressing equipment to remove wrinkles and achieve a professional finish on clothes.
• Cleaning and maintaining dry cleaning machines to ensure proper operation.

• Desire and ability to maintain a full-time work schedule
• Ability to adhere to company safety standards.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work long hours, as necessary.
• Ability to repetitively stand, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work safely within the established safety program.
• A high school diploma or GED is helpful.
• Must have good attention to detail and customer service skills.
