Gem State Staffing is seeking a Weatherization Technician to join our growing team in Twin Falls, Idaho. This is an entry-level construction position, and we are willing to train the right candidate. The Weatherization Technician will assist with residential weatherization and energy efficiency improvements under the direction of a Production Supervisor, Crew Lead, or Energy Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

The Weatherization Technician will assist with a variety of residential weatherization tasks, including but not limited to:

• Installing attic, floor, wall, duct, and water pipe insulation
• Assisting with window and door installation
• Installing energy-saving devices and weatherization materials
• Loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials
• Operating table saws, chop saws, circular saws, and other standard carpentry tools
• Using sound reasoning and judgment while performing assigned duties
• Completing required documentation and reporting forms
• Working safely in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Comfortable working in attics and crawlspaces with clearances as low as 24 inches
• Minimum one year of residential construction experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building materials and construction tools
• Willingness to travel out of town overnight as needed
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Idaho driver’s license preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
