Gem State Staffing is hiring full-time Feed Mill Operators for a busy feed mill facility located in Wendell, ID. This position requires a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in physically demanding, outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities:

Operate feed mill machinery
Perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks around the facility
Assist with inventory monitoring and follow production schedules
Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies and procedures
Work outdoors in all weather conditions and around moving mechanical parts
Perform tasks using sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Operate Bulk Feed manufacturing system
Climbing ladders and working at heights on top of facility
Perform scale weight test weekly
Dump 50# bag ingredients into mixes as formula requires
Load and unload trucks in both load out area and in the warehouse
Insure bulk commodities are flowing from bulk bins
Refill Micro ingredient hoppers when needed
Perform daily inspections on various equipment
Perform minor maintenance on equipment including lubrication and adjustments
Operate and monitor bulk receiving system
Unload inbound trucks
Unload rail cars
Perform daily bin inventory and rail car inventory
Assist with any other tasks as requested or assigned by management

-Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted, and bend, kneel, or stoop consistently
-Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts
-Must be able to work in hot, cold, dusty, or noisy environments
-Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed
-Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Wendell, ID
-Must comply with all company attendance and safety standards

Physical and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Basic understanding of computers, math comprehension and previous plant environment is helpful
- Must have the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, and work long hours in harsh environments (hot, cold temperatures and a dusty conditions).
- Exhibit good work habits, including excellent attendance and individual productivity
