Job Description

Lubricates and services all course maintenance equipment.
Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies.
Repairs and adjusts equipment.
Maintains repair records on all equipment.
Establishes and maintains safety procedures for using equipment.
Maintains safety records.
Trains operators in care of new equipment.
Performs general overhaul and other preventive maintenance on all equipment.

Qualifications

Understanding of basic agronomy, turfgrass science
Knowledge of tools methods and materials used in grounds and landscape work
Ability to operate a backhoe and light motorized equipment
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Strong computer skills including the ability to program and trouble shoot
Physical requirements include: lifting some heavy objects, hand digging, and working in confined spaces under a variety of weather conditions
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with other employees and the public
Must possess a valid drivers license
